The 2017/18 Ziggurat Challenge kicks off on Wednesday 11 October with the traditional “fun run/stroll and chat” around the broad, which this year is divided into two elements, a race and a fun run.
The race starts at 1.15pm and is approximately two miles long (two laps of the broad). The top two men and women from each team will score points. This is followed by a fun run/stroll which starts at 1.30pm and is one lap of the broad. The winning team will be the School(s) with the most participants, bonus points for the first Head of School across the line.
Both events will start from the back of Norfolk & Suffolk Terraces by the broad and anyone is welcome to take part in either event.
The Ziggurat Challenge is a free programme of events, open to any student, alumni or member of staff or faculty (including Norwich Research Park-based staff). The programme comprises 23 different events, including volleyball, wheelchair basketball and athletics and is designed to promote friendly sporting competition between schools.
